Understanding CTC (Cost to Company)
CTC, or Cost to Company, is a vital aspect of understanding a candidate’s current compensation. It encompasses all monetary benefits an employee receives annually. Knowing the CTC helps HR professionals gauge if the candidate’s financial expectations align with the company’s budget.

Answer : My current CTC is 5 LPA

Clarifying ECTC (Expected Cost to Company)
ECTC, or Expected Cost to Company, reveals the salary expectations of the candidate. This question helps in determining whether the applicant’s financial aspirations are realistic and within the company’s offering range. A mismatch here could be a deal-breaker, so clarity is essential.

Answer : For first HR Interview As per company norms is ok for me or 40-50% Hike on my current CTC

Current Location and Commuting Feasibility
The candidate’s current location can impact their willingness and ability to commute to the workplace. Understanding this helps in evaluating the logistical feasibility and the potential need for relocation assistance.

Answer: Current location should be same as your Naukri profile location ( Mumbai or Pune )
Note : Not mention here your village address.

Preferred Location Preferences

Answer: guess for which location you received call, tell them same or say i am willing to relocate, location is doesn’t matter for me

Notice Period and Last Working Day
A candidate’s notice period can affect the hiring timeline. By understanding the length of the notice period and the last working day (if currently serving notice), HR can better plan the onboarding process and manage expectations.

Answer : Say My Official Notice Period is 30 days but i already resigned from my job or I informed to my manager i am ready to buyout my Notice Period.

Availability for Interview
Determining a candidate’s availability for interviews is crucial for scheduling and planning the recruitment process efficiently. Ensuring that the candidate can attend the interview without conflicts helps in moving the process forward smoothly.

Answer : I am available as per your technical staff availability. flexible with time.

Work Experience and Relevance

Answer : Explain your proper work experience and also explain each technology in one line

Educational Background

Answer : For the experienced person educational background doesn’t matter, for fresher we need relevant field sometimes.

Answer : Explain your skill set ( Include all technology )

Certifications and Training

Reason for Job Change
Understanding why a candidate is looking to change jobs can provide insights into their career goals and motivations. This question helps in assessing whether the candidate is likely to stay long-term or is prone to frequent job changes.

Answer : Mention Real reason for job change don’t copy from anywhere because HR track easily, mention : Knowledge Growth , financial growth etc.

Expected Career Growth
Candidates often have specific career aspirations and growth expectations. Understanding these can help in determining if the company can provide the desired career trajectory and if the candidate is a good long-term fit.

Answer : This answer totally depend on you, What is your expectation next 5 years you can mention make sure only mention IT related target.

Relocation Willingness
For roles that require relocation, it’s important to understand a candidate’s willingness to relocate. This includes assessing any potential barriers and their overall readiness to move.

Answer : Ready to Relocate.

Form 16 and PF Account .

Answer : Form 16 not compulsory for  below 5 Lakh salary. 

PF account not mandatory to give every employee this is the company management decision.

4. Detailed Experience

HR: From your 3 years of experience, how many years have you worked in “Manual Testing” and how many in “Automation Testing”?

Priyanka: I have 3 years of experience in both Manual and Automation Testing, as I have been working parallelly on both.


5. Tools Used

HR: Which tool are you using for Automation Testing in your current organization?

Priyanka: Currently, I am using “Selenium WebDriver” with Java for automation and I also have knowledge of the BDD Cucumber Framework.


6. Current CTC

HR: What is your current CTC (Cost To Company) or package?

Priyanka: My current CTC is 4.5 Lakh. My monthly gross salary is 37,500, with an in-hand/net salary of 36,800 after deductions.


7. Fixed or Variable CTC

HR: Is your CTC or salary fixed or variable?

Priyanka: It is a fixed CTC with no deductions for PF or additions from incentives or bonuses.


8. Expected CTC

HR: What are your expectations regarding your expected CTC?

Priyanka: I am okay with the company norms but would expect around a 30% hike, making it approximately 6 Lakh, but it is negotiable.


9. Notice Period

HR: What is your official notice period?

Priyanka: My company’s official notice period is one month or 30 days, but it is negotiable up to 10 or 15 days. I have discussed this with my manager, and they will relieve me within the specified time.

HR: Are you serving your notice period?

Priyanka: No, I am not serving my notice period yet, but I have already discussed my resignation with my manager.

HR: Do you have any offers in hand?

Priyanka: No, I don’t have any offers in hand, but I am confident as I have interviews in the pipeline.

HR: What is your last working day?

Priyanka: 10th June is my last working day in my current organization, so I can join your organization after that.


10. Current Location

HR: What is your current location?

Priyanka: My current and permanent location is Mumbai (or Noida, depending on the actual location).


11. Willingness to Relocate

HR: Are you ready to relocate to our company location?

Priyanka: Yes, I am okay with relocating to any location.


12. PF Account or Form-16

HR: Do you have a PF Account or Form-16?

Priyanka: Our company is small-scale and does not have PF or Form-16 policies. I can provide a clarification mail from my HR if needed.
