Job Description: Data Scientist / Data Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of data provided in datasets to derive meaningful insights.
• Pose clear and insightful business queries that the dataset can answer, translating complex data into actionable business intelligence.
• Write high-quality, optimized SQL code to address business questions, solve problems, and generate reports.
• Articulate the logic and methodology behind SQL queries and their outcomes clearly for stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with researchers and cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
• Take ownership of debugging code, optimizing performance, and documenting processes and results thoroughly.
• Conduct peer code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality and standards are met.
• Communicate clearly with researchers to understand their needs, deliver data-driven solutions, and present findings in an understandable manner.

Job Requirements:

• Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience working as a Data Scientist/Data Analyst.
  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, including advanced query writing, optimization, and reporting.
  • Proven experience working with large datasets, data cleaning, transformation, and visualization techniques.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data science applications (data manipulation, statistical analysis, or machine learning).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or similar tools).
  • Knowledge of data processing frameworks, such as Apache Hadoop or Spark, is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, capable of deriving insights from complex datasets.

• Communication Skills:
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English with the ability to communicate complex data findings in a simple, understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
• Additional Skills (Desirable):
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, or statistical analysis techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for data processing and storage would be advantageous.
