Qualifications and Required Technical Skills:

• DevOps Practices: Strong understanding of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), monitoring, and other DevOps practices.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Full-Stack Experience: Willingness to work across the full stack, including databases, containers, monitoring, and alerting.
• Code Proficiency: Ability to write, review, and make decisions regarding code implementations.
• Learning Ability: Ability to quickly grasp new domains and technologies.
• Developer Tools: Experience with tools like GitHub, VSCode, CI/CD pipelines.
• Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Db2, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Containerization: Experience with containerized applications, Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift.
• Python Proficiency: Skilled in Python programming and its related frameworks.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a DevOps Engineer on the Developer Platform team, your core responsibilities will include:

1. System Performance & Scalability: Ensure backend systems are performant, scalable, and reliable.
2. Production Monitoring & Support: Actively monitor, analyze, and support applications in production to identify and resolve issues.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and manage application environments.
4. Testing: Write and maintain unit tests, conduct integration testing, and ensure code quality.
5. Code Review: Review code to ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
6. Staying Current: Stay up to date with the latest trends in backend development and database technologies.
7. Documentation: Document technical specifications, code changes, and system architecture for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
